Our
Projects

We are proud of our CIC’s involvement in several projects, made possible through the of our grant funders. This includes our Sparklers Sen Club and Beacons Sports and Inclusive activities which run regularly. Here are some initiatives that have positively impacted our community. Thank you for your continued support.

Free Sensory Kits for Send Families!

In January 2025, we partnered with the One Stop Shop Community Fund to provide  children in our community with fun, practical sensory kits designed to support their  sensory experience and development. The items included were designed to engage senses—touch, sight, sound, and movement. We distributed over 50 kits to families including those that had been affected by the cost of living crisis.

Beacons Inclusive Sports & Activities.

Thanks to the generosity of the Market Harborough Community Fund, In October 2025, Lightbeam launched Beacons. Beacons Inclusive sports and activities  is a welcoming space for children with Special Educational Needs aged up to 13 years old and their families. Our sessions are free for all who attend. The club focuses on fun, gentle physical activities that help children build confidence, coordination, and social skills in a supportive environment. Each session includes sensory circuits, inclusive games, and a calm sensory area where children can relax and regulate if they feel overwhelmed. Our aim is to create a positive experience where every child can shine at their own pace .
